Depron Vulcan

Post by Hotrod »

I've been contemplating building a Vulcan for quite a while having trolled the net to find a kit ,plan or treads with few results finally I found a couple of good threads on RC groups .lot of reading gathering pictures and head scratching and I've made a start using a 3view
Plan on the interwebs 60 inch wingspan pusher prop

Cut out the formers
To start then , well with the nose seems a good place I've had a go with depron with a couple of simple builds
But nothing much so this is a bit of a learning curve see how we get on
Flat plan make an easy layout
Just a few templates

This will allow the nose to come off to get to the battery compartments
This bits a bit fiddly but hopfully should work
More formers,more cutting & glue
First ones in place and glued with foam safe contact glue
Firstly cut out the formers

Nice work, looks to be coming along quickly. Look forward to a Lightning / Vulcan formation flight! :)

Any thoughts about colour scheme yet? 1960s anti-flash white always looks nice.

Cut out the majority of the parts of the plan templates
Start on the fuzz
Main bones of the fuzz in place
Thanks gents it's coming on quickly with the lack of flying weather I must admit I'm enjoying the build and I do like working with this depron
